Bite size chunks

Never did finish fall cleanup. Today was a rare warmish day (50s) and so Rocky and I cut down the butterfly bushes to barely a foot off the ground.



Ok maybe 18 inches. I bundled them up with twine and carried them to the curb. I raked right there, (including the back stoop) and bagged that. One bag and I was done.  About an hour and a half is all.

Just then I looked up and there was a person on the roof. I'd called Winston's to come clean the gutters finally and there he was.

Tomorrow maybe snow. After that, another very cold spell. The buddleia had of course sprouted, but I think perhaps all the sprouts had died from the previous cold. It occurs to me several things may have died from the coldest days in 20 years.

A day in the basement

So the plumber turned the hot water heater back on and said "Call us if it leaks again" and charged me $89. Sigh.

But I got rid of the doors, and cleaned this shelf. Who wants a box of computer, phone, and analog audio cables?
